Owner/ Lead Therapist
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Missouri and a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker in Kansas. I am also a Certified EMDR Therapist through the EMDR International Association. I have experience in individual therapy services, both in person and through telehealth.
I have worked in social services since 2011. In 2015, I completed my undergraduate degree at Missouri Western State University, earning my Bachelor of Social Work. In 2016, I obtained my Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas. To describe myself in a few words I would say I am an empathic, honest, caring, and straightforward person.
During my time in practice, I have gained a great deal of knowledge about adverse experiences and the impact they have on a person. This experience has led to me ensuring that I provide services through a Trauma-Informed approach. My goal is to guide you to living a life that is more comfortable, supported, and to allow you to develop a better idea of who you are outside of these lived experiences. By providing therapy, I am able to be a professional and nonjudgmental person that can help you to develop and expand upon your already existing resources and skills through tough situations.
Over the years I have completed trainings in the following styles of therapy:
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR); EMDRIA Certified 2022
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
